So this is love

Orion has started to mimic absolutely everything.

From Orion 6 Months

He is cheesy smiles and sticking out his tongue...and so damn funny.

From Orion 6 Months

I love absolutely everything about this boy, even his sassy attitude and naughty tantrums.  I could literally hold him and kiss his face for hours and never get sick of it.

How could you not love this face?  Someday I will give him the world.

Boys Weekend

Tonight I leave town for a quick trip back to my home town for a wedding reception.  Seth and O have decided to stay home, which means that they will have the first "Boys Weekend" they have had in a long time.  I'm hoping that they have lots of fun and giggles together without causing too much chaos.  I am looking forward to having with my friends, but know I am gonna miss them both.  Hopefully Seth has stories for me when I return on Sunday!!

No no no

Orion has finally learned this word.  Now, I'm not surprised...it had to happen eventually, but now it's constant.  We went from having a little "yes" man to saying no to EVERYTHING.

Me:  Hey Orion.  Would you like some juice?
O:  NO!
Me:  How about a cookie?
O:  NO!
I then proceed to put the cookies away...while my son screams because really he DOES want a cookie, despite his protests.
Me:  Ok, so do you want a cookie?
O:  NO!
I try to hand the cookie to Orion but he tries to slap it away.  I sit the cookie on the table and he walks over, picks it up, and begins to eat it.

Have I mentioned that I absolutely love   having a toddler around??  At least he's cute right?

Baseball

Orion participated in a true American tradition this weekend....his very first baseball game.

I wasn't sure if Orion would actually sit still long enough to enjoy an entire game, but when we had the opportunity to go we jumped on it anyway.  It was warm and sweaty, and a terrible game, but Orion seemed to love every minute of it.

I'm sure it helped that the mascot was a giant dog (PUPPY!!) and that the lady behind us kept giving him Oreos......but we had several different people ask us "Is he always this good?" while sitting at the game.  few things make me more appreciative of how awesome my kid is than strangers pointing out what I take for granted.
