Geeky 365 -- Day 164

Sometimes times seems to just sprint past us at a rate that's hard to keep up with.  It's kind of like trying to keep up with a 3 year old boy.   The way his little brain dances sometimes is just so much fun. The other day when we got home Orion asked for "black cookies" which is how he describes Oreos.  I told him no because I was making supper.  He looked at me and with all seriousness said "But mommy, they're tasty!"  I busted up laughing.  I don't know where he comes up with this stuff...but the kid definitely ended up with some Oreos.

Geeky 365 -- Day 163

We're still trying to get the house put back together around here after the weekend.  We have to find homes for new toys, new clothes need to be washed, the chairs/dishes that were hauled upstairs need taken back into the basement...and really we have to test out all the toys.  I think that has been O's favorite part.  He has to explore every single one.  It's a ton of fun to watch...but does make the house a bit chaotic right now.  Oh well, he's only 3 once.  I'm going with it and enjoying it while I can.

Geeky 365 -- Day 162

Back to our regularly scheduled program!  O's back at daycare and on our regular schedule this week.  It's been a crazy few weeks so I think we are both happy to be back to our normal schedule.  Orion had a fantastic weekend with all the family and friends, but it's time to get back to the daily grind.

Geeky 365 -- Day 161

Movies, shopping, and carousals.  What more could a 3 year old ask for on his birthday?  Happy birthday O!

Geeky 365 -- Day 160

Today was Orion's birthday party.  He had such a good time with all of his friends running around like crazy.  There were about 30 people at our house.  It amazes me to see how much everyone loves Orion.  He's an amazing little kid!  I can't even call him a baby anymore.  It definitely seems like just yesterday when we first brought him home.  The last 3 years have been such a blur.  How can time pass so quickly?   He has brightened my life in more ways than I can even begin to explain.  Tomorrow is his actual birthday and he will be spending it with just his daddy and me, and I'm ok with that.  He had his big party with lots of cake, presents, and balloons.  Tomorrow will be all about celebrating his life and showing him just how much we love him.  So Happy Birthday Orion!  Mommy loves you very much.

Geeky 365 -- Day 159

What a big day.  Today Orion and I spent the day with my mother running around town doing the last minute preparations for O's birthday party and a little bit of shopping for my mom.  First we took O to get his hair cut so he would look stylish for his birthday guests.  He wasn't super happy with the process but he looks great.

Next we ran into town for some lunch and of course had to make a stop at the arcade to bust out a few games.

Of course my sister couldn't resist giving him a birthday present early...he got a bike and this awesome bike helmet.  He was pretty stoked!

Plus he got to spend some time with his daddy.  What more could a boy ask for?

Tomorrow is his birthday party.  We will have a ton of people at the house so it should be quite the day.  I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure Orion is too.

Geeky 365 -- Day 158

Tonight O and I spent a bunch of time teaching him how to peddle his tricycle.   He would get the hang of the peddles and forget to steer and end up running into a wall.  He was motivated though.  It helps that his trike has a bunch of buttons that he was pushing over and over.  It was a lot of fun.  I love watching him grow and seeing all the fun things he's learning.
